I Caved and Created a Twitter Account
I'm not a great fan of this particular service but I guess it is time I get dragged into the new decade before it is over. For those of you who like that particular social medium, I can now be found on Twitter (http://twitter.com/valashain). No followers looks a bit sad so please help me get rid of that dreaded zero ;) I promise to keep it updated :P I'm afraid I haven't overcome my aversion to Facebook yet. Maybe next year.

I'm there :) :)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to Twitter! I think the key to enjoying yourself, as with any service, is to find ways that make it useful to _you_. For instance, I find Twitter useful because I follow a great number of people who always post interesting links. This includes people who interact with me, whether I know them online or offline, as well as celebrities, including authors. I find some of my more interesting non-book reading material through Twitter.
ReplyDelete@ Fantasynibbles: Hiya, you do pop up just about everywhere on the web, don't you ;)
ReplyDelete@ Ben: In some respects I really am a grumpy old man. It took ten years, a trip to hospital and a lady in Norway to convince me of the value of text messages. In that light, my conversion to Twitter is remarkably quick ;)
Yay! I'll repeat what Ben's first message to me on Twitter was, "One of us! One of us!"
